Hola nail polish fans

So here we are on Suday the 27th of April. What a beautiful day. The birds are singing, sun is shining and I have a new nail polish design on my nails. What could be better? Oh wait a moment......I could be a millionaire. But that fact that I'm not is immaterial. I am still very happy. I've been working a lot with nail stamping. I really like it. Every Sunday I do my daughters nails and she picks a new design. My other daughter does a new stamped design every couple of days. Like mother, like daughter.


This weeks design starts with two coats of L.A. Girl Color Pop Dragon Fruit. This is a beautiful
pinky purple color with a bit of iridescence. Goes on perfectly with two coats. I purchased it at Rite-Aid




On my index finger I added some carefully placed diamond shapes from Nicole by OPI in Be Awesome. This is a clear base with a multitude of holographic diamond shapes. Stunning, truly. I have a huge amount of polish and I have never seen one like this EVER. I bought mine at Wal-Mart.




 On all of the other fingers I used Mundo de Unas Cream and Aqua. I purchased mine at LLRowe. Here is the link for them. http://www.llarowe.com/  I chose these colors because they went well the the OPI polish. This is by far my favorite stamping polish. I'ts amazing. Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new.
