A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \

Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time.

Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry.

Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though.

On with the polish at hand....

I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really wants to sit around and wait for polish to dry?  Not I!!

For the polish I choose Orly Faint of Heart. I would call this a Greige color, possibly taupe. Either way it really pretty. I used two coats of the Orly polish.  Because  my life is boring without glitter, I had to put some bling on my nails.

I used Konad Stamping Polish Light Bronze. I did a French tip design with this using the Bundle Monster BM-217 stamping plate.

This came in a kit I bought at Amazon. I used the bottom design on the left side of the plate.

I used a large stamper I bought from Beautometry.com. (http://www.beautometry.com/)  Best stamper I have ever used. It's good sized so you can fit a large stamped area on the surface. When I use random designs, I can get three fingers stamped with just one stamp. Quite the time saver.

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri to top it off. Here's the look.

I hope you enjoy this look. I buy everything myself.  WalMart and Amazon most of the time.

Thank you for stopping by.

Helloo Baaaaby.....

Those are the words of the immortal Big Bopper aka J. P. Richardson who died in a plane crash along with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens, February 3rd, 1959. Truly a great tragedy for the world. Haven't a clue what I'm talking about, look it up. My last post I was struggling to get my nails back in shape. Sadly, they would grow a bit longer than my fingertip and then peel. I couldn't have a Nail Art Blog without nails!! Well now I do. Let's check it out.  Here we are... I decided on this color because it's Spring in my neck of the woods. These are really simple, I think anyone could do them. These are PolyGel. Not a gel, not an acrylic. You do have to cure then in an LED/UV light but you could do them with regular polish and some nail art supplies. The pinky and thumb nail have gold nail foil on them. The ring finger has some glitter and a gold tone shield. The middle finger has some pearls and rhinestones attached. The index finger is my favorite. I starte...

Mermaids are Forever

So I didn't plan on doing this look for  October. I usually do pink, even before I started this blog. I have four friends that have had breast cancer. I proudly wear a pink ribbon tattoo, as does my daughter, for these fine ladies as well as breast cancer survivors everywhere. To all of the people in the world who have any type of cancer, you are in my prayers. This look is a Mermaid look. Funny thing, I get my best while watching a trilogy of movies. I just turn them on and voila! I come up with looks I love and want to share.  Now I bet you are thinking "Lord of the Rings" or "The Hunger Games" or something girly and romantic. Nope. If you even thought about these movies you are so far off, it isn't funny. Ready for this?  It's "The Expendables."  I don't know why but these  movies always help me get my creativity electrons firing all at the same time. Here's the look: I thought it was pretty with the teal and the gems.  ...
