Doesn't everybody just love Pusheen the cat!!

Well, at least I do. I think he/she is very cute.

That just happens to be the nail art choice for this post. I saw a post on Pinterest from preenme.com. It was too cute for words.

This was not the first design I attempted. The first design had pink nails. Would you  believe that after 24 days of pink for October (sadly all those posts disappeared from my blog) I couldn't find the exact shade of pink. The one I liked the best took four coats and was still streaky. In the rubbish bin it went. I don't throw out polish very often. Almost never but even after polish thinner, I couldn't get it to work. Bye, bye, bye to the said pink polish.

So anywhoooo, this is the second design I chose. If you follow me on twitter. tumbler, instagram or pinterest you may have already seen these nails.

I started per usual with a base coat. I always say use what you have or whatever works best for you. Then I put two coats of Sinful Colors Rendezvous. It's a pretty pale tealy blue/green. It reminds me of China Glaze For Audrey.

The glitter polish , as you may notice, is only on part of the nails. I used the dry brush method to drag a bit towards the ends. I used CrowsToes Thing. I love this color. It has a multidude and I do mean multitude of colors of glitter.

My sweet daughter (who is known as @timidanne on instagram & tumblr, timidannee on twitter and timidanne on pinterest) helped me with the tiny kitty. While I could have painted the one on my left hand, the right hand would have been disasterous.

For Pusheen she used L.A. Girl Storm. A very nice cream gray color. For the kitty stripes and face, she used Sinful Colors Black on Black.

A top coat of your choice to finish and Voila'....a cute tiny kitty manicure.

As always, I purchased everything myself. (Don't be ridiculous, I don't have enough followers to be sponsered :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube...
