Greetings All!!

Hello again friends:

Here is my polish of the fortnight. If you are unsure what that means, its fourteen days. It's been about that long or possibly longer since my last post.

Nails are growing nicely. Yea!!! And I'm getting back in the swing of painting my nails regularly.
The fortnight nails are fairly basic and neutral. Something fall-ish or Autumn-ish. Either way my lame computer can't figure how to auto correct. Speaking of auto correct, I sent my man a text and it auto corrected the name to Dr. Satan. Ghoulish I know but strangely all at the same time. Well, in the words of the immortal friends across the pond..............Tally ho. I started, per usual with a base coat. Actually that's a fib. I started with a coat of E-Z Flow Bond-It-On. I followed with a coat of Super Nail Pro Gel Base Coat and one coat of Super Nail Pro Gel Top Coat. I have been doing this since I took off the acrylic. My nails are growing fairly quickly but its the tips are really thin.  After that I used two coats of Orly Faint of Heart. For added thickness I put on one coat of Nutri Nail Flex-Shield Nail Hardener. Here's the look.

I love the Greige color of the Faint of Heart polish but I thought it needed something....a little panache perhaps.  On my thumb, index and pinkie nail I used barely one brush of Crows Toes Umm, No...he went to the Pawn Shop. This is an awesome rose gold, teal and pale pink glitter.

For the ring and flip off finger I used Mundo de Unas Copper with the Pueen Stamping Plates 24-BL, plate number 85. I topped the manicure with INM Out The Door. And Voila!!, there you have it.
Per usual, I bought all of these marvelous item with my own money.

I purchased the Mundo de Unas from LLarowe but she doesn't sell it anymore. Try www.mundodeunas.com.

The Pueen stamping plates I bought from Amazon. The Orly polish, purchased that from ebay.

I hope you enjoyed this look.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube...
