So I didn't plan on doing this look for October. I usually do pink, even before I started this blog. I have four friends that have had breast cancer. I proudly wear a pink ribbon tattoo, as does my daughter, for these fine ladies as well as breast cancer survivors everywhere. To all of the people in the world who have any type of cancer, you are in my prayers.
This look is a Mermaid look. Funny thing, I get my best while watching a trilogy of movies. I just turn them on and voila! I come up with looks I love and want to share. Now I bet you are thinking "Lord of the Rings" or "The Hunger Games" or something girly and romantic. Nope. If you even thought about these movies you are so far off, it isn't funny. Ready for this? It's "The Expendables." I don't know why but these movies always help me get my creativity electrons firing all at the same time.
Here's the look:
I thought it was pretty with the teal and the gems. To get this look I used Nutra Nail Flex-Shield Nail Hardener. On the pinky and ring finger I used two coats of China Glaze For Audrey. This is one of my favorite colors. Its amazing. I used some random dark teal micro-glitter and sprinkled a itsy bit over the nails before they dried. The rhinestones, shells and pearls all were purchased (by sweet lil ole me of course) at amazon.com.
On the flip-off, pointer and thumb I used Polished Peripherals Serenity. This is another of my favorite polishes. Its a teal blue/green with silver and blue glitter. I bought it al LLarowe but she doesn't sell it any more. I tried to find a link but alas, I was not successful. Sorry, I don't like to use polishes that are not available. If someone finds it, please let me know.
I stamped the flipoff, pointer and thumb with Mash-39 plate. I purchased this from good old amazon as well. It looks like this.
I used the design in the top right corner. I used Konad Princess Special Polish Blue Pearl. Topped the whole works off with INM OutTheDoor. This is my new favorite top coat. It dries really quickly and it seems to possibly have some optical brighteners in it. It totally changed the color of the stamping polish when I put it on. The blue is almost three dimensional now.
My supplies:
Hope you enjoyed this post.
