I have a secret.......I'm an addict.

Yep it's true. I'm addicted to glitter. I start out with nail polish. Plain Jane nail polish. It might be the prettiest color know to mankind but....every time I have to add glitter. In some form, without fail.  What the Hell. I've always been a closet Rebel.

I started out with a base coat. per the norm. I'm still using the Pro Fx Nail Concealer. I was going to polish my nail this beautiful periwinkle-ish color. I found this at Rite-Aid. It's L.A. Girl Color Pop Muse. Opaque in two coats. Sadly, they didn't have many colors when I was there. I was thinking maybe they won't be selling this brand any longer. Hopefully not. L.A. Girl polish comes in a 14ml size and is $2.99 per bottle. If you purchase two, it's $5.00 for both. Not a bad deal. This polish dries quickly and last as long as Essie or OPI.

My supplies:

For the glitter polish I chose Essie On A Silver Platter.  If you look at this polish in the bottle, you will see Purple, Silver, Gold, Teal, Blue, Pink. I can't even determine all of the colors. When I look at it my first thought is always "Breathtaking."   Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat and we are done.

I always purchase my own supplies. I hope you enjoy this post.  Thanks for stoping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

Hell's bells!!!!

Oops.... I didn't realize it had been two weeks since my last post. Since I apparently live in the new Arctic Circle, all I've had time to do is stay warm. My daughter has missed five days of school due to the weather. That's unheard of where I'm from. When I was in High School, I can't remember ever having a show day.  Maybe that was before Global Warming.  Who coul d tell. And is Global warming really a thing? Or is it something the Government made up to scare the Hell out of normal people like myself?  On that note....away we go.   This is the look I came up with for New Year's Eve. Did I go out? Nope. Did I have a Gourmet dinner party for 20 at  my home? Again, nope. I never do  things like have dinner parties. I just thought it was New Year's Eve-ish looking. Yes I know that isn't correct Grammar. And no, I don't care. If people can say "A'ight or turnt." I can say  Eve-ish. Get with the program teachers. Start teaching c...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube...
