It's not easy being Green

Well here we are again.

I had last weeks post all ready to go and life happened.  Sucks to be responsible. With that being said, here you are.

My nails have been growing quite nicely. I've managed to shape them into Stilettos and with the help of Gelish VitaGel Recovery, things were going along swimmingly. However, when my nails get to be a certain length, they start to curl under. I've trimmed them and now they are not as long.

I was looking on Pinterest for designs for shorter nail and I found this. http://hative.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/easy-nail-designs/1-easy-nail-designs-for-beginners.jpg

Easy Nail Designs for Beginners. So cute and simple that you can do it yourself.

These nails are really pretty and simple to do. Thank you to @kiss_ot_chic for the idea.

I used my Bundle Monster Nail Art Vinyls. I bought them on Amazon.  Not very expensive and it has 13 different designs. They cost $13.00.  The l ink:https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Pattern-Manicure-Sticker-Bundle/dp/B00WZYQHE2/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1465749151&sr=8-1&keywords=bundle+monster+nail+vinyls

Step One: Place the Nail Vinyl where you want it on the nail.
Step Two: China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint
Step Three: China Glaze Four Leaf Clover

I forgot to take a picture of the White dots but here they are.  I used Color Club Art Club Nail Art Lacquer. And the finished nail.

I used my usual Pro-Fx Nail Concealer for the base coat. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for the top coat.
Here's a picture of my other supplies.

Enjoy your day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.......

Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr purr. If you watch the Big Bang Theory, you know where this comes from. I don't. But my daughter does. When I saw this polish on the Super Nails Etsy site, I had to get it for her. Me, being a cat lover, I had to get one for myself as well. Here is the link. https://www.etsy.com/shop/supernails This is a polish that has a sheer pink base. It is full of pink, grey and white tiny spots. It's not glitter, because it doesn't sparkle. The think that made me want to buy it is that it has white, pink and grey......kitty heads in it. I thought it was really cute. Let it begin: Base coat...check. Pro-Fx nail Concealer in Light/Medium. I don't know if I mentioned it but it come is Medium/Dark as well. One coat of this. Polish...check. If you aren't familiar with glitter type polish, it's applied differently than regular polish. For  me, the first coat is the base coat for the color. each following coat that I put on, I am pl

Yes, I know....you thought I left the planet.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. But I know my brother and sisters won't forget this house. I found this post for pink and gray nails on Bloglovin. Here's the link.  http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4817501097&blog=4629175. I didn't want to use her picture without permission.  After you check out her link, this is what mine look like.  I used a base coat as always. Whichever you choose is fine. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.

Happy Mother's Day.

Greetings:  I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes.  I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats.  For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's  a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th
