In a blink of an eye, they are all grown up.

It's so true. My baby just turned 16. Where did the time go? I have seven kids and I am so glad they all live so close.

If you have never tried LED Gel Nail Polish, you should. It wears like Iron. Mine will last for two weeks without any chipping.

There are a ton of brands out there to choose from. Major companies like OPI, CND, Orly and China Glaze all have some.  I chose an "Off brand." As Amazon is my favorite online store, I bought mine there. Iv'e tried SuperNail Pro Gel, EZ Nails TruGel and Sensationails. I have had good results with all of these brands. The color choices are endless. You can find the EZ Flow and SuperNail brands on Ebay for a good price. Sensationails you can find at WalMart or Rite-Aid.

Here we go.....

I bought my most recent gel polish from Amazon. This is one of those "off brands" but don't let that fool you. It lasts just as long asd the more expensive brands I've tried.

When you use Gel polish, you need to use a Gel base and top coat. This is Aimeili Gel Polish. The base/top coat duo come in a set for about $11 from Amazon. The single colors are $7 for a 10ml bottle. You can also purchase a set of four, six or twelve colors as well.

For this look, I used color 044, a deep Mermaid Blue/Green glitter, color 030 a Navy Blue and some white gel.

While I was on Amazon looking for polish, I saw that one company sells three polish to use together. You use them for a marble look. I used what I had and it looks like "waves."

This look was so simple. It literally too 10 minutes to do from base coat to top coat. No waiting for nails to dry. No smearing. Just "Poof" beautiful polished nails.

I didn't mention this company has a temperature changing line too. That just may be my next post.

Until then, thank yu for stopping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

Hell's bells!!!!

Oops.... I didn't realize it had been two weeks since my last post. Since I apparently live in the new Arctic Circle, all I've had time to do is stay warm. My daughter has missed five days of school due to the weather. That's unheard of where I'm from. When I was in High School, I can't remember ever having a show day.  Maybe that was before Global Warming.  Who coul d tell. And is Global warming really a thing? Or is it something the Government made up to scare the Hell out of normal people like myself?  On that note....away we go.   This is the look I came up with for New Year's Eve. Did I go out? Nope. Did I have a Gourmet dinner party for 20 at  my home? Again, nope. I never do  things like have dinner parties. I just thought it was New Year's Eve-ish looking. Yes I know that isn't correct Grammar. And no, I don't care. If people can say "A'ight or turnt." I can say  Eve-ish. Get with the program teachers. Start teaching c...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube...
