Schools out for summer.........

I have one child out of sever still in school. She is an amazing child. Smart, funny, talented and beautiful. Just don't piss her off. It's like poking a bear.

This nail look was all my idea. I was trying to come up with something using my fimo fruit slices and here is it. Sort of.

I had originally purchased three neon colors from Salon Perfect at my local Wal-Mart to use with this look. Pink, green and orange. Not happening. The colors looked pretty but I put three coats over a white base cost and it was still streaky. I chose a red instead. Now it looks like this.

This has to be one of THE most uncomfortable positions I put my hands in. Grrrr.
So I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Sonic Bloom. One coat. Boo. Done. Gotta Love it. This is a pink-red-coral color. bright yet easy to apply. One coat.

I buy all my supplies at Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart or Walgreens. I bought the fimo slices at Amazon. It was about $4.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. Greetings: I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes. I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats. For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th...
