Well...............

Here we are again.

I didn't realize I hadn't posted last Sunday until I started my post today. You're right. I'm lame.

I live in a State where there is still County Fair every year. When my kids were little, we went every year. Since my youngest is now 16, it's been awhile since I have gone. Traversing back and forth is a bit difficult with my RA so her Daddy has always taken her when I wasn't able to go.

This year, my very best friend came into to town. Sheila, and another dear friend Denett went. It was so much fun and so awesome to get together with them. These ladies are like family and really special to me. I am blessed to have them.

I am use to the fair being jam packed with people I knew but this year it wasn't crowded. Sadly the Ag, Arts & Craft, Gardening and Commercial buildings were a bit empty.

We had a ball. Space Burgers are amazing. Corn on the cob is delicious. Lion's Ears really crispy and sweet.

Sadly we didn't get to spend more time together.

This post was leading up to my bestie Sheila. I was doing my nails and she said "I don't get to do mine." Well I handed her a bottle of polish and she painted hers while I was doing mine. I remember many nights at my parent's home staying up late playing Monopoly and doing our nails.

So here we go.  This is really simple to do. I just polished. No art this time. I started with my base coat, Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. Then I did three light coats of China Glaze I Pink I Can on all but my ring finger.  On my ring finger I used Cover Girl Outlast Stay Brilliant Perfect Penny. Top Coat and "Voila."

Here's a picture of my supplies. I put OPI Matte Top Coat on my ringer fingers. I didn't put it in the picture. All of the Matte Top Coats I have used work just the same.

I buy all of my own supplies at either Walgreens, Wal-Mart or Rite-Aid.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

Hell's bells!!!!

Oops.... I didn't realize it had been two weeks since my last post. Since I apparently live in the new Arctic Circle, all I've had time to do is stay warm. My daughter has missed five days of school due to the weather. That's unheard of where I'm from. When I was in High School, I can't remember ever having a show day.  Maybe that was before Global Warming.  Who coul d tell. And is Global warming really a thing? Or is it something the Government made up to scare the Hell out of normal people like myself?  On that note....away we go.   This is the look I came up with for New Year's Eve. Did I go out? Nope. Did I have a Gourmet dinner party for 20 at  my home? Again, nope. I never do  things like have dinner parties. I just thought it was New Year's Eve-ish looking. Yes I know that isn't correct Grammar. And no, I don't care. If people can say "A'ight or turnt." I can say  Eve-ish. Get with the program teachers. Start teaching c...

Happy Mother's Day.

Greetings:  I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes.  I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats.  For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's  a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th...
