Hello blog fans.....

Well here we are once again. Another beautiful Fall Sunday. II have spent the day shooting with my awesome son-in-law Matt. Thanks Matt for inviting me. It was awesome.

So the Nail 'o the day simple. Of course is has to have a tiny bit of glitter but hey.  About two months ago, I tried some gel nail polish I saw on Amazon. I bought three colors and the base and top coat.  It costs $6.99 for a 10ml bottle. The base and top coat costs $10.99 for  the set. These are also 10 ml bottles. I found the colors are opaque and they last about 10 days. You can buy them in a single color, set of 4, 6 or 10.

This time around I purchased the set of 10. It costs $49.00.  Here is the link for the 10 piece set.

For this look, I used the base coat and cured for 60 seconds in a LED light. I used two coats of Aimeili Color 021. On my ring finger I used one coat of Aimelil Color 023. Both colors were cured 60 seconds each coat. Top coat is the same 60 seconds and "Boom." You are done. Wipe off the sticky coat with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and there you have it. All 10 nailws done and totally dry in 10 minutes.

I like this brand. I plan to buy more. There is only one drawback. Since it is UV/LED gel, you cant tell what color it is without opening the bottle. And every bottle is pink.

I marked my base coat with tape. I'm working on some stickers but you have to0m cfu8re the poli8sh under the UV/LED light. It's a challenge.

If you try this look or another gel polish look, let me know.m Same thing if you try this brand.

Thank you for stopping by.

A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Helloo Baaaaby.....

Those are the words of the immortal Big Bopper aka J. P. Richardson who died in a plane crash along with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens, February 3rd, 1959. Truly a great tragedy for the world. Haven't a clue what I'm talking about, look it up. My last post I was struggling to get my nails back in shape. Sadly, they would grow a bit longer than my fingertip and then peel. I couldn't have a Nail Art Blog without nails!! Well now I do. Let's check it out.  Here we are... I decided on this color because it's Spring in my neck of the woods. These are really simple, I think anyone could do them. These are PolyGel. Not a gel, not an acrylic. You do have to cure then in an LED/UV light but you could do them with regular polish and some nail art supplies. The pinky and thumb nail have gold nail foil on them. The ring finger has some glitter and a gold tone shield. The middle finger has some pearls and rhinestones attached. The index finger is my favorite. I starte...

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...
