Hola ........

I have returned from a brief sabbatical.

If you don't know what a "Sabbatical" is, i's a vacation. I spent two weeks with my son and daughter-in-law in Houston, the weekend with my son, daughter-in-law and grandsons in Alabama and I discovered Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets.

I had such a wild time, I needed two weeks to recover. Just kidding. I was tired and I needed time to recover. It was an awesome time. I miss all of them so much.

So here's the nail art of the week. And a shout out to a company I bought some products from. That company is Dollish Polish. I bought five polishes and some nail gems. The polish is opaque and wears really well. The gems were an assortment. There are quite a few different 3-D pieces in the package too.

And away we go.........
I have a hard time getting good pictures of my hands due to my RA.
I'm trying a new base coat. It's Pro-Fx Naipl Brightener. I've used the Nail Concealer from the same brand before and I really liked it. This you can use as a base or top coat. It's claim is it "brightens colors." On both the pinkie and thumb nails I used KB Shimmer Up and Cunning. This is a beautiful teal frosty/glittery polish. You can find it here:https://www.kbshimmer.com/.  For the ring and middle finger of my left hand as well as the pointer and middle finger of my right, I used Dollish Polish SO Long And Thanks For The Fish. Here is the link:http://dollishpolish.bigcartel.com/. Both of these brands ship really quickly. Both are opaque and long lasting.

For the left pointer and right ring finger I used Aimeili LED Gel polish #023. Really shimmery silver glitter polish. I used random stones from the baggie I bought at Dollish Polish. The  link for that site is listed above. I used the Super Nail Pro Gel base/top coat on the silver nails. I used the top coat to stick the embellishments down. That's about it.

Sweet and simple. I'm anxious to try the New Sally Hansen Polish out. If I can find some, Ill do the next post on that.

Untill then, Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foo...

A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube...
