Tis the Season to be jolly........

Could also be the season to break the bank buying gifts...

Or not.  Me? I always set a limit. With seven children, 6 significant others, four grandchildren....WOW!!!

My one regret is not being a billionaire

So this Christmas I'm not feeling my usual non-Grinchy self.  I have been feeling icky, down in the dumps blah. Is that even an actual diagnosis?? I wonder if there is an ICD-10 code for that?

This weeks look is simple. A little bit of glitter. Boom. Done.  I do like it though, it goes with everything.  I used IBD Just Gel Base Coat. I cured this in an LED lamp for one minute. For the glitter I used Fairy
Glo Color Coat. This is three coats. You will need to cure each coat for one minute. To finish, I used IBD Just Gel Top Coat. Guess what? Yep, you guessed it. Cure for one minute. After you have finished the curing process, you will need to wipe the sticky residue off your nails. You can do this two ways. You can buy Gel Cleanser from just about any Beauty Supply Store or Amazon. It will cost you about $6 for a 4oz bottle. Or you can do what I do. Buy a bottle of 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol. You can buy this at Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid or any other Drug Store. This stuff will cost about $2. It works just the same as the expensive stuff.

Here's a picture of my supplies.

I bought everything except the Alcohol at Amazon. The Alcohol I bought at Wal-Mart.

On another note......

Are you a makeup brush fanatic?  I sure as heck am!!  I was really excited to learn about Live Glam. You can get make-up brushes delivered right to your mail box every month for $19.99. You will get any where from three to six Morphe make-up brushes. I just got my December's box and there six brushes. These are the brushes that came in the December box.

This isn't a sponsored video. As I said I buy the box every month. I will however get points if you use this link. These brushes are some of the softest brushes I have ever used.

I hope you have wonderful Holidays. My friends know that I always say Merry Christmas.

Thank you for stopping by.

A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Say hello to my little friends.......

Hello little friends...... Greetings fans.  Here is my polish of the week. First off, I would like to thank Piggie Luv for the idea. I saw a post on Pinterest and had to attempt to recreate it. I thought it was really cute and it turned out to be really easy to do. \ Without further hesitation, here is  my creation. Base coat of your choice of course.  Always a base coat. I used Orly Goth on all my nails. It's obviously black but it dose have a tiny bit of shimmer to it. This is just one coat.  Then I made little balls of lines with white acrylic paint. Any white acrylic art paint will do. You can also use white polish. On My pinkies, I used China Glaze Heli-yum. This is a bright neon pinky/red color with a cream finish. Ring fingers I used China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin ( a dark yellow cream) and Square Hue Beethoven Straat (lime green cream).  Middle fingers was China Glaze Nasty, a bright berry cream.  Pointers, I used China Glaze Bahamian Escape...

Helloo Baaaaby.....

Those are the words of the immortal Big Bopper aka J. P. Richardson who died in a plane crash along with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens, February 3rd, 1959. Truly a great tragedy for the world. Haven't a clue what I'm talking about, look it up. My last post I was struggling to get my nails back in shape. Sadly, they would grow a bit longer than my fingertip and then peel. I couldn't have a Nail Art Blog without nails!! Well now I do. Let's check it out.  Here we are... I decided on this color because it's Spring in my neck of the woods. These are really simple, I think anyone could do them. These are PolyGel. Not a gel, not an acrylic. You do have to cure then in an LED/UV light but you could do them with regular polish and some nail art supplies. The pinky and thumb nail have gold nail foil on them. The ring finger has some glitter and a gold tone shield. The middle finger has some pearls and rhinestones attached. The index finger is my favorite. I starte...
