Happy New Year!

Greetings:

I hope everyone had wonderful Holidays with their loved ones.

Mine was quiet. my immediate family is 9 people. Seven kids mean significant others, grand kids and my dear Aunt. That means a grand total of 21. This year there was but four at my dinner table. Quiet.

This weeks post is Blue. Maybe because I have been feeling that color for awhile. New year, new things. Yea!!!!

Away we go. I saw Ad somewhere for Sally Hansen Miracle Gel
Flash-ionista and had to have it. It is gorgeous. It's a beautiful Mermaid blue-green with microglitter. Boom! In your face Ariel.
It's the first bottle in the picture. I had to search for it and finally found it at my local Rite-Aid. Just my luck they had the other two colors right next to it on the display. Had to buy them. The picture doesn't do them justice.

The first color  in the picture is Flash-ionista. This is the color I used on my index, pinkie and non-existent thumb. As usual, I used my Pro-Fx Nail Concealer first as my base coat. This is two coats. The middle color is Digi-Teal. This color is a Teal Blue cream. Two
coats of this as well. This is the color on my ring finger. Las but not
least, on my middle finger I used three coats of Let's Get Digital.
Even though it doesn't show in as blue on my nail, you can see it's
definitely blue in the bottle. I neglected to buy the Miracle Gel top
coat so I used my Sally Hansen Quik Dry top coat. Seems to work ok.
And there you have it.

I hope you enjoy this post. If you would like to see something in particular, a different brand or color, let me know. I'm happy to try new colors.

I always buy my own stuff. Usually at Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid or Amazon.

On a different note:

Are you a make-up Junkee? If so you should check out the LiveGlam Morphe brush monthly subscription box. These brushes are awesome!! They are so freaking soft and they work great.

Here is the link.  https://liveglam.com/morphe-brushes/?ref=mamacinco61@yahoo.com

They have a new Lip Club too. That could be dangerous.

Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, I know....you thought I left the planet.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. But I know my brother and sisters won't forget this house. I found this post for pink and gray nails on Bloglovin. Here's the link.  http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4817501097&blog=4629175. I didn't want to use her picture without permission.  After you check out her link, this is what mine look like.  I used a base coat as always. Whichever you choose is fine. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.......

Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr purr. If you watch the Big Bang Theory, you know where this comes from. I don't. But my daughter does. When I saw this polish on the Super Nails Etsy site, I had to get it for her. Me, being a cat lover, I had to get one for myself as well. Here is the link. https://www.etsy.com/shop/supernails This is a polish that has a sheer pink base. It is full of pink, grey and white tiny spots. It's not glitter, because it doesn't sparkle. The think that made me want to buy it is that it has white, pink and grey......kitty heads in it. I thought it was really cute. Let it begin: Base coat...check. Pro-Fx nail Concealer in Light/Medium. I don't know if I mentioned it but it come is Medium/Dark as well. One coat of this. Polish...check. If you aren't familiar with glitter type polish, it's applied differently than regular polish. For  me, the first coat is the base coat for the color. each following coat that I put on, I am pl

Happy Mother's Day.

Greetings:  I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes.  I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats.  For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's  a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th
