Hell's bells!!!!

Oops....

I didn't realize it had been two weeks since my last post. Since I apparently live in the new Arctic Circle, all I've had time to do is stay warm.

My daughter has missed five days of school due to the weather. That's unheard of where I'm from. When I was in High School, I can't remember ever having a show day.

Maybe that was before Global Warming.  Who could tell. And is Global warming really a thing? Or is it something the Government made up to scare the Hell out of normal people like myself?

On that note....away we go.

This is the look I came up with for New Year's Eve. Did I go out? Nope. Did I have a Gourmet dinner party for 20 at  my home? Again, nope. I never do  things like have dinner parties. I just thought it was New Year's Eve-ish looking. Yes I know that isn't correct Grammar. And no, I don't care. If people can say "A'ight or turnt." I can say Eve-ish. Get with the program teachers. Start teaching cursive and get those brains working. There is already a plethora of idiots in this world. We really don't need any more.

Speaking of idiots, did anyone see the Facebook post of the man with the ladder. He was trying to get a sweatshirt off of a pipe of some sort. Yes he had a ladder. I have to give him credit for that. Did he open the ladder? No. He picked up this ladder and proceeded to try to knock the sweatshirt down with the 12 foot ladder he was swinging. Derp!!

So, here you see  my Eve-ish look. Base coat of your choice. I use to always use the same one but I have branched out. :) On my ring and flip-off finger(middle finger) I used three coats of Wet N Wild Megalast Studio Glitter & Gold. This is a straight up gold frost polish. (local Rite-Aid) For the glitter by the cuticle I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. (Etsy)  For the other three fingers I used Orly Terra Mauve I think. The sticker is mysteriously missing of the bottle. (Ebay or wherever Orly polish can be purchased.)  For the glitter on the same three fingers I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. One coat of Sally Hansen Quik Dri and the deed, she is done.

Very simple but pretty. You could do a look like this with just about any color you wished.

Per usual, I always buy my own supplies. Seriously? Who would sponsor me? I'm sort of crazy.

Thank you for stopping by.

Yes, I know....you thought I left the planet.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. But I know my brother and sisters won't forget this house. I found this post for pink and gray nails on Bloglovin. Here's the link.  http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4817501097&blog=4629175. I didn't want to use her picture without permission.  After you check out her link, this is what mine look like.  I used a base coat as always. Whichever you choose is fine. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.......

Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr purr. If you watch the Big Bang Theory, you know where this comes from. I don't. But my daughter does. When I saw this polish on the Super Nails Etsy site, I had to get it for her. Me, being a cat lover, I had to get one for myself as well. Here is the link. https://www.etsy.com/shop/supernails This is a polish that has a sheer pink base. It is full of pink, grey and white tiny spots. It's not glitter, because it doesn't sparkle. The think that made me want to buy it is that it has white, pink and grey......kitty heads in it. I thought it was really cute. Let it begin: Base coat...check. Pro-Fx nail Concealer in Light/Medium. I don't know if I mentioned it but it come is Medium/Dark as well. One coat of this. Polish...check. If you aren't familiar with glitter type polish, it's applied differently than regular polish. For  me, the first coat is the base coat for the color. each following coat that I put on, I am pl

Happy Mother's Day.

Greetings:  I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes.  I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats.  For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's  a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th
