Holy catfishes Batman.......

It's been a month since I've blogged. :(

I'd love to say my life is so busy and exciting I forgot but I can not tell a lie. Health issues keep me tired all of the time.

I'm feeling pretty good today so here I am. I think it's going to be a busy Summer at our house. I have three grand-babies on the way. One boy so far. I am waiting patiently on the other two.  I have five grandsons right now. I'm not going to lie, I was wishing for three girls but I will take whatever God has planned. I have a wedding in two weeks for my baby boy. He's not really a baby, he's 23 and 6'3" I believe. He is still my baby and I am happy for both of them.

So I'm guessing the many of you have see water marble nail art.  I think it is beautiful. Every design is different.  The only draw back for me is the mess. I know there are many brands of "Nail Tape" out there but they are all latex based. I, sadly am allergic to latex. So it gets messy.  One day last week I was scanning you tube and I came across this.

It's really cool how they do this. Really cool. Really freaking cool.

Wait for it......I tried numerous techniques, multiple polishes, everything I could think of. I could not do this. I'm no quitter but I could not achieve this effect.

I was so frustrated, I simply painted my nails purple. Done.

If you have any insight...what so ever please let me know. I'm stumped. Totally

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. A woman is helpless only when her nail polish is drying......

My daughter gave me a sign that says just that as a gift. She is so right. I can cook anything I choose, change the oil in a car, change a tire and a hundred other things I learned along the way. Mess with me when my polish is drying, you are going to be in trouble. \ Seriously. Painting nail is an art, even if you are putting on one color. It's tricky,it takes practice and its frustrating as Hell if you have to start over. Be patient. Let a woman get her nails dry and everything is awesome.  Fortunately my kids aren't little anymore and then fend for themselves most of the time. Other times it's like this "Mom, Mooooom, I've cut my carotid artery! I'm bleeding!!"  Yes dear, I'll be right there. Let my nail polish dry. Seriously, it's never that severe. Funny though. On with the polish at hand.... I really like the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It makes a nice smooth base to work with. I use one coat. It dries fast which is a bonus. Who really...

Greetings fellow nail polish fans...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new.
