Helloo Baaaaby.....

Those are the words of the immortal Big Bopper aka J. P. Richardson who died in a plane crash along with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens, February 3rd, 1959. Truly a great tragedy for the world. Haven't a clue what I'm talking about, look it up. My last post I was struggling to get my nails back in shape. Sadly, they would grow a bit longer than my fingertip and then peel. I couldn't have a Nail Art Blog without nails!! Well now I do. Let's check it out.  Here we are... I decided on this color because it's Spring in my neck of the woods. These are really simple, I think anyone could do them. These are PolyGel. Not a gel, not an acrylic. You do have to cure then in an LED/UV light but you could do them with regular polish and some nail art supplies. The pinky and thumb nail have gold nail foil on them. The ring finger has some glitter and a gold tone shield. The middle finger has some pearls and rhinestones attached. The index finger is my favorite. I starte

Something for the rest of you.....

My last post was almost one month ago. I decided to use the OPI products foe one month to see how my nails faired. Well they faired well. Due to the use of gel polish(I believe), my nails peeled until last week. When you remove gel polish the wrong way, it peels the natural layers away. One would think, I would know not to do this. Guilty. I did it anyway. When I quit doing that, my natural nails grew out and they no longer peel. Yea!!  Are they short, yes. Are they healthy, YES!!! Patience is a virtue and not one of my better qualities. Now I need to work on my cuticles.😒 About six months ago, a small cat decided we were really cool and took up residence on our porch. She is the sweetest cat ever. March 19th, we walked out to the porch to discover the cat with a tiny orange tabby cat in her mouth. She had four teeny tiny baby kittens. I'm sure that is some sort of run-on sentence but WTF! Here they are in all their glory. About 24 hours old.   The grey one is Gand

Hello Spring?

Hopefully. I've grown a bit tired of snow. So in my last post, I talked about natural nails and what I was using to try to get them in better condition. I tried the Barielle for without success. I tried the NailTek Formula 4 without success. Honestly, I didn't notice any change in the condition of my nails. I'm sure either of these products could potentially work for you. As I have mentioned previously, I have RA. One might think it wouldn't affect fingernails. It does. Could I please, pretty please have one break? Nope!! Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.  Apparently, my nails must match my hands. My kids use to tel me I didn't need a Halloween costume. I had Zombie hands. Ohhhhhhh!! Pretty!! I decided to give OPI Nail Envy a try. Voila'!! I have growth, my nails feel stronger and the peeling is almost nonexistent. Yea!!! As you can see, I had a little trouble with pictures. If you knew me, you would understand. :) There is some gro

No, I'm not really dead.......

I just feel like it about 99.999% of the time. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. So, I'v been off the grid due to health issues. As I'm sure all 56 of you who like my posts know, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It's a nasty bit of business and it has made my life extremely difficult. I'm no longer working so I'll have all the time in the world to post. Previously, I posted about nail art. Since my last day of work was 11/28/18, I've taken off my gel nails and started over. At first I was using Barielle Thickener, Hardener and Growth Activator. I purchased these at Amazon. I used then for one month. I've hard good things about Barielle products. For me, I didn't see much improvement in my nails. Years ago I had tried NailTek. I liked the results and my nails looked great. Did I leave them alone? Hell no! I put my acrylics back on. I have now started a new regime with NailTek for weak, damaged nails. If you are wondering, I purchased

Well....

Here we are. It's been a bit since I posted anything. Things may be a bit different but be assured, but's still crazy me. I should have more time to blog; I'm no longer working. Yea, yippee and whoot, whoot!!!!! It's been coming for a very long time. If you follow me, you will know I have RA. My pain became so severe, it hurts to walk, Not the life I was expecting but I'm still alive. I haven't decided what I'm going to blog about. Jokes, real life events maybe. I don't know. We will just have to see. Thanks for stopping by. Lee

Been a minute.....

Well, here I am again. I've been busy at work. Busy at home. When my Aunt passed away in November, It was hard. We emptied all her things out of the house she  lived in for 60 years. I think 90% of it is in my living room. I thing I have her graduation dress of hers from High School. That would have been 1942. She was very special to me. She was like a second mom. It's amazing all the antiques she had in her home.  She still had my curls from the time I got my hair cut. I miss her so much and I see her everyday in things I do. Anyhoo..... Just a quick post to let my hoard(LOL) of followers know I'm still around.  Today I'm actually doing my nails. I'll post my masterpieces after. Thanks for stopping by. Lee Hugs to my B.

Wishing you the very best Holiday season

Yes, I know it's been two months since my last post. My health issues have carried over for two months and I have been exhausted. I was finally feeling better and I lost someone very dear to me. When I was born. I was blessed with amazing parents, my Nana and my Aunt Wanda.  Wanda has always treated me like her own. I spent every minute of my childhood that I could at Wanda and Nana's house. It was home to me. My grandmother taught me how to iron, cook and sew among other things. I lost her when I was 11. Both parents passed away in 2003. Wanda was always there for me. She was like a second mom to me. She helped me with anything she could.  She babysat my six kids when I was a single parent going to school. She treated my kids like they were her own. She was an amazing woman. She worked at Grand Coulee Dam when it was being built, she traveled and she truly loved life. She was a Christian and she devoted her life to Jesus Christ. Back in July when I had surgery on my foot
