Greetings all...

Happy Sunday everyone. it's looking like it might be a beautiful Spring day.  You never can tell where I come from. One day last week it was in the 70's. The next day it was in the 40's. Go figure. Today's post is a bit different. This is a new product that I have read about, but hadn't tried. When I saw it at the store, I thought I would give it a go. This is called nail concealer. It's claim is that it will cover minor imperfections on your nails. I am here to tell you it works. I found this at Wal-Mart the other day. This is Pro-Fx Nail Concealer. It works just like a concealer you would use on your skin.  The bottle states "Covers flaws, stain resistant." It cost about $5  for one ounce. It comes in Light-Medium and Medium-Dark. I picked the Light-Medium because I am scary white. It's simple. You apply 1 or 2 coats and your nail imperfections are gone.  Poof, just like that. It dries really quickly. You can add a top coat if you wis

I'm back......

Don't panic. All is well. :) So....... I've been trying to be more pro-active w3ith my posts. SUnday is my day off so I am going to have a new Blog post every Sunday, rain or shine. Sort of like the U.S.P.S. \ I asked my daughter "What color should I paint my nails today?" Her response "I don't know." I said "Just pick a color." She said "Blue." Blue it is. I'm really into the nail stamping right now . It's such an awesome concept. Artsy nails that anyone can do. Even if you aren't ambidextrous.  I have a bunch of nail stamping polish and stamping plates. The designs are never the same. Who'd of thought? Pay no attention to the bottles of nail polish  magically suspended on the desk. I started with the magical China Glaze Bahamian Escape. This it two coats you see on my last three fingers. This is a pretty mid-tone blue with a cream finish. If you happen to notice my mistakes, be nice. I find it a was

Spring is in the air......

It's about time!! I thought Spring would never get here. That damn groundhog Phil said on February 2nd didn't see his shadow. It's April. That's eight weeks of waiting...patiently.  In my neck of the woods, Spring is always so welcome. Our winters are rather cold. This winter wasn't much different. Except for the fact that there was so much snow I got stuck not once but twice in the same week. Grrrr On to other things. I thought I would make my nail art simple but Springy. I guess you could say it's my take on negative space nail art. It's quick and it's easy. It is comprised base/top coat, stamping polish, a stamping plate, stamper and scraper. If you have ever stqamped designs on your nails, I think you will like this. I used a base coat as always. I think I'm going to just leave out the brand. A base coat is a base coat is a base coat. In my opinion, they all pretty much work the same. It's your choice, I'm sure you hav

Yes, I know....you thought I left the planet.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. But I know my brother and sisters won't forget this house. I found this post for pink and gray nails on Bloglovin. Here's the link.  http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4817501097&blog=4629175. I didn't want to use her picture without permission.  After you check out her link, this is what mine look like.  I used a base coat as always. Whichever you choose is fine. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.
