My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored.

I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails.

As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this.

This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57. I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.

Here we go.

I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine. I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. I usually use stamping polish. I have seen videos on YouTube where they have used Sally Hansen Color Foil polish. This is a regular old polish. The finish is like chrome only not. It worked great!! I used the MASH - 40 stamping plate. The floral design on my thumb was stamped twice since it was on the small size. I used OPI Matte Top Coat and it's finished.

Tada.

This was really quick and easy. You could use any color you wanted too.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.

The think that made me want to buy it is that it has white, pink and grey......kitty heads in it. I thought it was really cute. Let it begin: Base coat...check. Pro-Fx nail Concealer in Light/Medium. Greetings: I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes. I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats. For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th
