It['s been raining all day so I binged watched "The People vs. OJ Simpson." Talk about stupid people.  He was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt with DNA evidence and his Lawyers played the race. People were so mad because wsome rotten LAPD Cop used the "N" word they forgot Simpson was guilty. Derps. Rant over. Here's the idea to end all ideas. Nope, just kidding. Hello polish fans: If you haven't seen my posts where I have mentioned that every month I receive makeup brushes from LiveGlam. The box is called "MorpheMe." It sucks and on the weekend all it seems I think about is hiding under a blanket.  Still, here we are. My daughter came to visit yesterday. She is my "pedicurist." She spoils me by painting my "tailnails" as we have always referred to them. I thought the color was nice so I chose to paint my nails the same color. This is it: Base coat first. I'm actually posting on Sunday. Whoot, whoot! So here we are once again. Sundays are my quiet days. It's the day I don't do anything. becvause I did everything on Saturday. I've been a little lacking in the creativity department lately. I do believe I am depressed.  Life is giving me fits I don't expect a perfect life by any means. Grrrrr. This weeiks design I came up with by looking at ideas on Pinterest. The design that inspired me is this one by Chantal Toile. Sometime between this post and the last, I decided to take my gel nails off. I needed a change and I wanted to see how my real nails were growing. Well, I think the answer is bad and bad. They don't bad, they are just short. But they are bad because they have not completely grown out under the gel and frankly, they suck. There isn't really a boat load of surface to create stuff on. I think I'll put then on before the next post.  Sadly, this is the o nly picture I could get that was decent. My camera is apparently on holiday or something. I didn't use a base coat because I have three coats of builder gel on my nails. They are weak and thin.....still. I used Orly Terra Mauve (I hope). I say that because it's the darkest color of Orly in my polish database...

My daughter has been out of school for nine days due to the weather. At this moment, it  is snowing like a son of a gun. She's so bored. I recently received the latest copy of Nail It! magazine. It's the November/December issue. There are so many amazing ideas for nails. As I was perusing through it's pages, I came upon this. This was submitted by Nora Ramsdell, Richmond, VA @naq57.  I really liked the look of the gold and green/teal color. Very chic but simple too.  Here we go.  I started with a base coat. Your choice. As long as it works, you will be fine.  I like Green but not all Greens. I tend to gravitate towards the blue-green, green-blue, teal-y colors. I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Re-teal Therapy. I love this brand. It drys quickly and on me, it lasts until I take it off. That's usually about 10 days. I used two coats. For the Gold, I decided to try something new. Being almost 56 years old, I have lived through many things.Some when I was young eg. The Sharon Tate/Tony Lo Bianco murders, the Viet Nam War, the Moon landing and I saw first man walk on the Moon. I watched the News during the Hostage Crisis in Iran. I watched the Shuttle Challenger burst into flames on live TV. I listened to the radio during Desert Storm. I watched the footage of the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers. I'm not bragging. I just stating facts. I am appalled at the behavior of people I have seen on TV about the Inauguration. This isn't some Third World Country. This is America. Donald Trump is the President of the United States. Like it or not, that's how Democracy works. Majority rules.
