Been away much too long.

Hello polish fans:

I'm sorry I have been away for suck a long time. I know that I don't have many followers but I feel the need to explain. Life does happen.

I've had a huge family matter that is now...thank God, over. Everything worked out for the best. Everyone involved is happy and things are looking up.

I'm sure you are expecting me to show you pictures of my new grown out nails. Sorry kids...not happening. I was dead set against reapplying acrylics but I did not have a choice. While my real nails were growing out, they were only about half way there when I soaked off my acrylics. because my nails are so very thin, and I am forever popping the tops off of vials, my real nails were torn down to the quick. I was very disappointed but I really did not have a choice. I do however have some hail art to show you. I've been trying to let my creative juices get flowing. There are days I really do not want to do anything.

Here's what I came up with.

On mypinkie, middle and index fingers, I used Sinful Colors Supernova as the base and Maybelline Color Show Gilded Rose over the base color. I used a top coat but I am at a loss as to which one it was. Any top coat will be fine.

For my ring finger and thumb, I used Maybelline Go Nude, Then used water transfers from Fingrs'. It looks like this.

Oops. Upside down but you get the picture. Lol . I added a light brown fimo heart, a beige bow and a topaz colored rhinestone for a bit of fancy. All of these can be purchased on Amazon for less than $5.  I added the same mysterious top coat to secure the nail art and Voila!!

Until next time.........thanks for stopping by.

As always, I purchased everything with my own money.

Yes, I know....you thought I left the planet.

Hello all: It's been a beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was 74 degrees today. Perfect day to be relaxing on the porch. And me with a cold. My great aunt had a screened porch. She died along time ago. I was 7. It doesn't look the same now but I am proud to say is is on The Historical Register. My mother loved this house. And she loved Auntie. The History lesson is over. But I know my brother and sisters won't forget this house. I found this post for pink and gray nails on Bloglovin. Here's the link.  http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=4817501097&blog=4629175. I didn't want to use her picture without permission.  After you check out her link, this is what mine look like.  I used a base coat as always. Whichever you choose is fine. My goal, when I try to recreate looks, is to use what I have at home. Some colors are spot on. other are close enough to the original. On my pinkie, pointer and thumb I used Color Club She's Sooo Glam.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.......

Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr purr. If you watch the Big Bang Theory, you know where this comes from. I don't. But my daughter does. When I saw this polish on the Super Nails Etsy site, I had to get it for her. Me, being a cat lover, I had to get one for myself as well. Here is the link. https://www.etsy.com/shop/supernails This is a polish that has a sheer pink base. It is full of pink, grey and white tiny spots. It's not glitter, because it doesn't sparkle. The think that made me want to buy it is that it has white, pink and grey......kitty heads in it. I thought it was really cute. Let it begin: Base coat...check. Pro-Fx nail Concealer in Light/Medium. I don't know if I mentioned it but it come is Medium/Dark as well. One coat of this. Polish...check. If you aren't familiar with glitter type polish, it's applied differently than regular polish. For  me, the first coat is the base coat for the color. each following coat that I put on, I am pl

Happy Mother's Day.

Greetings:  I hope all of the Mother's have a blessed day. Children are amazing. I have seven of my own and many of my children's friends that I claim as my own. I bought some new polish on Thursday. I bought a dark pink, a nice blue, a sand color and a sparkly fairy dust color. The blue reminded me of my Mom's blue eyes.  I lost her in 2003. It doesn't get any easier. It's just life. I miss her terribly. She was very special. Let's get the show on the road. First, a base coat. Your choice. I used the Pro-Fx Nail Concealer in Light Medium. I used one coat to create a smooth surface. I chose Pure Ice Shine Rain & Shine. Thins is a nice cornflower blue. Two coats.  For the glitter I used Glitter Lambs Million Dollar Gradient. I love this color. It's gold, gold and more gold. It's  a "bam"in your face gold. With glitter polish, the first Coat you need to "place" more then "paint" it on. Th
